L’opera di Antonio Caramia pone al centro della sua forza rappresentativa il rapporto tra arte e realtà, immagine estetica dell’equilibrio tra forma e contenuto.

The central theme is the environment, nature and the countryside; all subjects characterized by a strong southern and Mediterranean imprint permeated by blue. The olive trees, the countryside and surrounding vegetation become almost imaginary hosts for ideal urban countrysides – small cities – perceived as regular spaces that contrast the natural disorder of the external. In this way, the sensibility and pictorial clarity of the artist from Grottaglie recreate timeless atmospheres – suspended between the metaphysical and the surreal – in which a dream-like dimension materializes in a joyous image of life.
